I admit it: I’ve been squatting on this one, waiting until I found the right words for the story that goes with these pictures. However, some stories can’t be rushed, and it may still be some time before I feel able to do justice to this one.
In the meantime, here are some photographs from one of the most incredible journeys I’ve been on: a four-day horse trek through the wilds of Patagonia, riding with Dominik and Tammy of Andesluna as they moved 11 horses from their lowland winter farm back to the richer summer mountain pastures taking a new and untried route.
Happy New Year everyone! May 2013 hold adventures as crazy-amazing as this one for all of us!
Alison, those pics are amazing – as amazing as the whole trip. Thanks for sharing it, I was waiting to see fotos after you already told me a bit about your expieriencis as a “Gaucha” in Patagonia. Slide smoothly over into the new year, and it may hold lots of love and happiness for you! Abrazo fuerte to Buenos Aires, Andrea Kurz
Thanks so much Andrea! Having a wonderful time here in Buenos Aires ;) Hope you are also having a great New Years – and with luck I’ll see you next year in Peru!
Shit Al, these pics are beyond breathtaking. Please teach me your ways, oh wise one.
A cheap little app called Snapseed… :)
Beautiful, wild, historic, enchanting, captivating, serene, moving, timeless. Your images are doing the job here Alison. Perfecto. Keep it up.
